About Us

Our Story

ADHD Akh was born out of a personal journey of struggle, discovery, and empowerment. Diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 22, after years of living undiagnosed, I realized how profoundly this condition had shaped my life. The diagnosis changed everything for me, giving me clarity on why I had struggled with mental health and understanding that my brain works differently from neurotypicals. With this newfound knowledge, I embarked on a mission to learn as much as possible about ADHD.

Our Mission

The primary mission of ADHD Akh is to break the stigma surrounding ADHD and educate the Muslim community and beyond about this often misunderstood condition. We aim to raise awareness about ADHD and other mental disorders, especially those with overlapping symptoms, and to provide strategies and support rooted in Islamic principles. My journey with ADHD has shown me how challenging it can be to maintain one’s deen (faith) when living with this condition, and I am committed to helping others find ways to balance their mental health and religious practice.

Our Vision

At ADHD Akh, we envision a world where ADHD and mental health challenges are understood and supported within the Muslim community and beyond. Our goal is to create a platform that not only educates and raises awareness but also provides practical strategies and resources rooted in Islamic values. We are committed to growing our community through informative content, digital resources, and future events that will further spread awareness on a larger scale. By fostering understanding and offering support, we aim to empower individuals to live balanced and fulfilling lives despite the challenges of ADHD and other mental health disorders.
